What is a boiler warranty?
A warranty, often known as a guarantee from the boiler manufacturer, is included with every new boiler. The boiler warranty is the period of time following the installation of a boiler, during which the manufacturer promises to send a heating professional to your home to fix any problems or failures. The normal warranty period for boiler manufacturers is one year, however, the total period might range from one to ten years.
Do I need a boiler warranty?
Despite the excellent reliability of new boilers, you should be sure that it is covered by a boiler guarantee, just in case the unthinkable happens and your boiler malfunctions.
If you think you don’t need a warranty because you have home insurance or something similar – make sure to read through what your insurance covers as most companies do not include boilers in their policies.
Can I get my boiler serviced by a different company?
Yes! As long as you’re getting your boiler serviced annually by a certified heating engineer, then this can be performed by any company.

Are all boiler warranties the same?
No! Always read the terms and conditions before purchasing a boiler warranty. Terms can be considerably different between manufacturers, from the length of the period to the level of protection. Failure to comply with the terms and conditions of any warranty can make it void so it’s always best to check what is included and what is expected.
Can I repair my boiler myself?
No! Any repairs or inspections should be completed by a registered engineer. Not only because they have the skills and experience to carry out a boiler service, but because your boiler warranty’s terms and conditions will stipulate that this needs to be done by a qualified heating engineer.
Do I register for my boiler warranty?
The majority of warranties can be filled out online. One requirement of many warranties is that they be registered within 30 days after boiler installation, so this needs to be done as soon as possible.
The standard Worcester Bosch product guarantee period is usually 2 years. Many accredited boiler installers offer longer guarantee periods ranging from 3 to 10 years, which depends on the boiler and the parts used.
